Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day plant operations and ensure smooth production activities.
- Plan and monitor production as per customer demand and business requirements.
- Achieve production targets while maintaining quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Monitor OEE, yield, downtime, rejection, wastage, and production losses.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and EHS teams.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
- Control raw material, packaging material, and finished-goods inventory.
- Identify opportunities for reducing manufacturing costs and minimizing wastage.
- Monitor manpower utilization, shift planning, attendance, and productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM.
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance activities are completed on time.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain proper production records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with EHS policies.
- Train and develop production staff and supervisors.
- Support audits, inspections, CAPA, and compliance activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reports.
- Deputize for the Plant Manager when required.
