Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain complete books of accounts in Tally Prime/ERP.
• Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal and expense entries.
• Maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
• Verify invoices, bills, vouchers and supporting documents.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

2. Reconciliation

• Prepare regular Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
• Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
• Perform GST/ITC reconciliation, including GSTR-2B reconciliation.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

3. GST & TDS Compliance

• Prepare GST workings and returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Monitor GST liabilities, Input Tax Credit and reconciliations.
• Calculate and deduct TDS.
• Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns.
• Maintain TDS challans, Form 16/16A and related records.

4. Financial Reporting & MIS

• Prepare Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
• Monitor receivables, payables, expenses and cash flow.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing/finalization of accounts.

5. Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with CA, statutory auditors and tax consultants.
• Prepare documents and schedules required for audits.
• Assist in statutory, tax and GST audits.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and audit-ready.

6. Team & Management Support

• Guide and review the work of junior accountants.
• Provide financial information to management.
• Ensure accounting activities and statutory filings are completed within deadlines.
