About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our infrastructure construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with project-based accounting, contractor billing, and statutory compliance within the construction/EPC sector.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and manage day-to-day accounting entries including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments in Tally/ERP systems. Prepare and verify project-wise cost sheets, running account (RA) bills, and contractor/subcontractor payment certificates. Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances including timely return filing and reconciliation. Manage bank reconciliation, cash flow statements, and petty cash accounts for site and head office. Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for material reconciliation, work-in-progress (WIP) valuation, and BOQ-related billing. Process vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy as per purchase orders/work orders and contract terms. Assist in preparation of monthly MIS reports, budget vs. actual analysis, and project profitability statements. Support finalization of accounts, audits (internal, statutory, and tax), and liaise with auditors and consultants. Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules for construction equipment and machinery. Ensure timely processing of salaries, labour payments, and statutory dues (PF, ESI) in coordination with HR.
