Key Responsibilities
Emergency Call Handling: Answer incoming emergency calls calmly and efficiently, often working in a high-pressure environment. Gather critical information (location, nature of emergency, number of people involved) and use triage protocols to determine the priority of the situation.
Dispatch & Coordination: Immediately dispatch appropriate emergency services ambulances based on geographical proximity and the nature of the incident. Coordinate seamlessly with allied services.
System & Safety Monitoring: Identify hazards and track the status of emergency vehicles or personnel using GPS and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.
Incident Logging & Reporting: Accurately document every detail of the call and incident in digital databases. Maintain clear logs of response times (e.g., vehicle dispatch latency) and generate shift reports.
