Photoshop Designer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Signage & Pre-Press Graphic Designer with strong expertise in CorelDRAW and Adobe Photoshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-impact vector artwork for indoor/outdoor signage, setting up complex UV flatbed/roll-to-roll print files (including white ink, spot UV varnish, and primer layers), vectorizing logos, and preparing print-ready production files.  

Key Responsibilities

1. Vector Design & Sign Layouts

 Design scalable vector artwork in CorelDRAW for signage, acrylic displays, 3D channel letters, glow signs, vinyl wraps, and architectural panels.  

 Perform high-precision vectorization, logo tracing, node editing, and path conversion from low-resolution raster images.  

 Prepare precise scale layouts (1:1 or 1:10), cut lines, contour cut paths, registration marks, and bleed margins for digital cutters and plotters.

2. UV Printing & Pre-Press Preparation

 Set up print files specifically for UV Flatbed and UV Roll-to-Roll printers.  

 Create specialized print layers, including White Ink underlays/overlays, Spot UV Varnish, Embossing texture maps, and Primer layers.  

 Perform image retouching, color correction, image manipulation, background removal, and color profiling using Adobe Photoshop.  

 Convert color profiles (RGB to CMYK) accurately to match physical print output on various substrates (Acrylic, Glass, Wood, ACP, PVC, Leather, Metal, Canvas).

3. Production Coordination & Quality Control

 Prepare realistic client proofs, 3D mockups, and dimensional site elevation drawings prior to production.  

 Double-check measurements, scale accuracy, spelling, bleed lines, and alignment before sending files to RIP software.  

 Work closely with the print machine operator and production team to ensure color accuracy and material compatibility.

Required Qualifications & Skills

 Software Expertise:

 Advanced proficiency in CorelDRAW (Mandatory - version X7 or higher).

 Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.  

 Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a plus.  

 Industry Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on graphic design experience in a signage manufacturing unit, digital print shop, or UV printing facility.  

 Technical Printing Knowledge:

 Solid understanding of vector vs. raster graphics, node editing, and trapping.

 Deep knowledge of CMYK color models, DPI/PPI resolution requirements for large-format printing, and color management.  

 Familiarity with UV printing layers (White ink printing modes: Flood, Under-color, Spot White).  

 Material Awareness: Understanding how graphics render on rigid substrates (Acrylic, Metal, Glass, Wood) vs. flexible media (Flex, Vinyl, Canvas, Backlit Film).

 Detail-Oriented: Exceptional eye for typography, spatial alignment, measurement accuracy, and structural scale.
