Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a TVS automotive showroom and service center. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, handling showroom and service center transactions, managing customer and vendor accounts, and supporting GST/TDS compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Handle day-to-day accounting for the automobile showroom and service center.
• Record and maintain transactions related to vehicle sales, servicing, spare parts, accessories, and other business activities.
• Prepare and maintain sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, credit notes, and debit notes.
• Maintain customer accounts and track outstanding payments.
• Manage vendor accounts and payments, including vehicle, spare parts, accessories, and service-related vendors.
• Perform daily cash, bank, and ledger reconciliation.
• Monitor showroom and service center collections and ensure proper accounting of receipts.
• Maintain records of service center expenses, job cards, parts purchases, and related transactions.
• Reconcile spare parts and accessories inventory with accounting records.
• Coordinate with the showroom, service, spare parts, and management teams for accounting-related requirements.
• Handle GST, TDS and other applicable statutory compliance activities.
• Prepare monthly accounting reports, outstanding statements, and MIS as required.
• Assist in monthly and year-end closing of accounts.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, customers, and external consultants when required.
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all accounting entries and reports.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• Good knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Experience in cash, bank, customer, and vendor reconciliation.
• Understanding of inventory accounting will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to independently manage routine accounting activities.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
• 1–4 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Candidates with practical experience in Tally, GST, TDS and reconciliation will be preferred.
