CNC Machine Operator – Job DescriptionJob TitleCNC Machine Operator
Job SummaryA CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The operator ensures quality, safety, and efficient machine performance during production.
- Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC turning, milling, drilling, or grinding machines.
- Load raw materials and unload finished components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Measure parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Monitor machine operations and make basic adjustments when required.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure production meets quality standards and tolerances.
- Maintain production records and inspection reports.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Required SkillsKnowledge of CNC machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving skills.
