Job Title: CNC / VMC Machine Operator cum Programmer

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Experience: 1–5 Years

Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant field

Job Responsibilities

Operate CNC and VMC machines as per production requirements.

Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.

Set up machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces.

Prepare, edit, and run CNC/VMC programs as required.

Handle tool offset, wear offset, work offset, and tool setting.

Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.

Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.

Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and bore gauge.

Troubleshoot basic machine/programming issues and make necessary corrections.

Maintain production targets, quality standards, and machine safety procedures.

Maintain proper records of production, rejection, tools, and machine parameters.

Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams for smooth operations.

Ensure proper housekeeping and follow 5S and safety practices.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operation and setup.

Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code/M-code.

Ability to read mechanical/engineering drawings.

Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, and machining parameters.

Experience with Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi controls will be an advantage.

Good knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection.

Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming problems.

Willingness to work in shifts.

Key Requirements

Candidates should have practical experience in CNC/VMC machine operation, setup, and programming. Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma qualifications and basic CNC/VMC knowledge may also be considered
