A dental assistant supports dentists and dental hygienists by managing patient care, preparing treatment rooms, and handling office tasks.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Chairside Assisting: Hand tools to the dentist, use suction, and keep the patient's mouth dry and clear during procedures like fillings or extractions.
- Patient Care: Welcome patients, make them comfortable.
- Sterilization & Safety: Clean and disinfect equipment, and sterilize instruments using an autoclave
