Job Summary: Site Engineer – Electrical

The Site Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for supervising, managing, and executing all electrical works at the project site in accordance with approved drawings, industry standards, and safety regulations. This role involves coordinating with contractors, technicians, and project management teams to ensure timely installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems such as wiring, panels, cabling, lighting, power distribution, and equipment. The engineer monitors site progress, troubleshoots technical issues, ensures quality control, and maintains proper documentation. Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage site activities effectively are essential to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.

1. Planning & Coordination

• Review electrical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Plan daily work schedules and coordinate with electrical and project teams.
• Ensure material availability and coordinate with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure all site activities follow electrical safety standards.
• Identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure workers use proper PPE and safe practices.
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and testing documents.
• Update project managers with progress, issues, and work status.
• Prepare as-built drawings and handover documents.
• Quickly address site issues, equipment faults, and design-related challenges.
• Provide technical guidance to workers and contractors.
• Review electrical drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Plan day-to-day work and coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams.
• Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower.
• Supervise the installation of electrical systems including:
• Wiring, conduits, and cable trays
• Distribution boards and control panels
• Power and lighting systems
• Earthing and grounding systems
• Generators, transformers, UPS, and related equipment

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering ,Diploma in Electrical Engineering (for junior/mid-level roles)
• 6 Months–2 years of experience in electrical engineer roles
