Fabrication Fitter

Fabrication Fitter to fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain metal structures and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and measurements.
• Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, and assembly of metal components.
• Mark, measure, and prepare materials according to required dimensions.
• Fit and align structural components before welding.
• Work with materials such as MS, SS, and other metals.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment safely.
• Check dimensions, alignment, and quality of fabricated components.
• Assist welders during fabrication and assembly activities.
• Identify and correct fitting or dimensional issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe working area.
• Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, engineers, and other team members to complete jobs on schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Fabrication, or a related trade preferred.
• Previous experience as a Fabrication Fitter or Structural Fitter.
• Good knowledge of fabrication and fitting techniques.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, measuring tape, and spirit level.
• Ability to use grinders, drills, cutting machines, and other workshop tools.
• Good understanding of workplace safety practices.
• Physically fit and able to work in a workshop or industrial environment.
