Job Description – Press Shop Supervisor

Department: Press Shop

Reporting to: Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

Supervise press shop operations including mechanical/Pneumatic presses.

Ensure production targets are met with minimum rejection and breakdowns.

Monitor tool condition, press settings, and part quality.

Control defects like cracks, burrs, deformation, and dimensional issues.

Ensure strict adherence to press shop safety rules and PPE usage.

Coordinate with tool room for die maintenance and trials.

Maintain daily production, rejection, and downtime reports.

Train operators on safe operating procedures and quality awareness.

Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or related trade.

2-3 years of experience in automotive press shop operations.

Strong knowledge of press tools, dies, and safety practices.

Leadership and shop-floor problem-solving skills.
