FASHION MERCHANDISER- ETHNIC WEAR AND PRODUCTION

Zariyah Collective is looking for a Fashion Merchandiser – Ethnic Wear & Production to manage custom garment orders from order confirmation through final production and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand client-approved designs, reference images, measurements and customization requirements.
• Prepare and maintain production/job sheets and tech packs with complete garment specifications.
• Coordinate sourcing of fabrics, trims, laces, linings and other required materials.
• Coordinate with masters, tailors, karigars, embroidery/handwork teams and vendors.
• Plan and monitor each order through material sourcing, dyeing, embroidery/handwork, cutting, stitching, finishing and QC.
• Set production timelines and ensure orders are completed according to committed dispatch dates.
• Conduct regular production follow-ups and proactively identify and resolve delays.
• Check garment measurements, fitting, finishing, embroidery placement, colour and overall workmanship before dispatch.
• Maintain and regularly update the production/order tracking system.
• Coordinate with the sales/client servicing team regarding production feasibility, timelines and order changes.
• Minimize production errors, alterations, rework and material wastage.
• Handle multiple made-to-measure orders simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.

Candidate Requirements:

• Preferably 2–4 years of experience in fashion merchandising, garment production or production coordination.
• Experience in ethnic wear, bridal wear, occasion wear or customized garments is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of fabrics, garment construction, stitching, embroidery/handwork and finishing.
• Ability to understand reference images and translate them into clear production instructions.
• Strong production planning, vendor/karigar coordination and follow-up skills.
• Good working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of quality and deadlines.
