Civil Draughtsman

Civil Draftsman — Job DescriptionA Civil Draftsman prepares detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering and construction projects based on specifications provided by civil engineers, architects, and project managers.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed 2D/3D civil drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Develop plans for buildings, roads, drainage, foundations, structural layouts, and other civil works.
• Convert engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into accurate working drawings.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and detail drawings.
• Revise drawings according to engineering changes, site requirements, and client comments.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate drawings with engineers, architects, surveyors, and site teams.
• Prepare BOQ-related drawings, quantity take-offs, and as-built drawings when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings.
• Review drawings for dimensions, levels, materials, and technical accuracy.
• Support the project team with drawing-related technical information.
• Required Skills & QualificationsDiploma/ITI in Civil Engineering, Civil Draftsman, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, or other BIM software is an advantage.
• Understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and technical drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of dimensions, scales, levels, and construction details.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Relevant site or drafting experience is preferred.
