Job Description
Milling Operate milling machines as per production requirements and drawings.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Set up the machine, including job clamping, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
Perform milling operations such as facing, slotting, drilling, pocketing, and contouring.
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds as per the material and operation.
Check job dimensions using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and other measuring instruments.
Ensure the finished component meets quality and dimensional requirements.
Identify and rectify basic machine/tool-related issues during operation.
Maintain production records and report any quality or machine issues to the supervisor.
Minimize material wastage and ensure timely completion of production targets.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Tool Room teams when required.
