Project Manager

Key responsibilities

1.     Own each project from purchase order to customer handover: schedule, cost, quality and documentation.

2.     Build and track the project plan: design release, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, trial and dispatch.

3.     Manage outsourced partners for fabrication, machining, panel building and assembly, including stage inspections.

4.     Coordinate mechanical and controls design reviews and design approval with the customer.

5.     Run internal trials and customer run-off / buy-off, and close punch points.

6.     Lead installation and commissioning at customer sites until final acceptance.

7.     Track project cost against budget and flag variances early.

8.     Prepare customer documentation: GA drawings approval, inspection reports, manuals, handover records.

9.     Raise milestone invoices on time and follow up on payments with the customer.

10.  Give weekly project status to the founder and to customers.

Must-have experience

•      End-to-end delivery of SPMs, assembly lines, test rigs or automation projects for automotive OEMs or Tier-1s

•      Managing vendors and subcontractors, including quality checks at their premises

•      Customer-facing trials, buy-off and commissioning

•      Working knowledge of PLC/HMI, pneumatics, servo systems and sensors enough to coordinate controls work

•      Reading and checking mechanical drawings; familiarity with SolidWorks / AutoCAD

•      Planning tools (MS Project, Excel or similar)

Good to have

•      Experience at a line builder or SPM manufacturer (not only OEM maintenance)

•      Robotic cells, leak testing, gauging or vision inspection projects

•      Experience handling projects of ₹1 Cr and above
