Area Manager - Legal Receivable

Legal Recovery Management

• Handle legal receivable portfolios involving overdue and default accounts.
• Develop and implement recovery strategies for chronic delinquent and write-off cases.
• Monitor legal notices, arbitration, litigation, SARFAESI proceedings, and execution activities.
• Ensure timely filing and follow-up of recovery cases through advocates and legal agencies.

Team Management

• Lead and supervise Legal Recovery Officers and field recovery teams.
• Set recovery targets and track team performance.
• Conduct regular reviews and provide guidance on complex recovery matters.

Advocate & Agency Coordination

• Manage relationships with panel advocates, recovery agencies, and legal service providers.
• Review recovery progress and ensure effective case handling.
• Negotiate settlements and recovery plans where appropriate.

Portfolio Monitoring

• Analyze overdue and legal portfolio performance.
• Track recovery efficiency, legal case status, and aging buckets.
• Prepare MIS reports and recovery dashboards for management review.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure all recovery actions comply with applicable laws and company policies.
• Maintain proper documentation and legal records.
• Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks in recovery processes.

Customer Resolution & Settlement

• Handle escalated customer cases and disputes.
• Facilitate settlements, restructurings, and one-time settlement (OTS) proposals.
• Balance customer satisfaction with recovery objectives.
