Assistant Project Lead - Planning | Job Description (10 Points)

• Project Schedule Development
  Assist in developing detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, and execution plans.
• Progress Monitoring & Control
  Track project progress against the baseline schedule and identify variances affecting project delivery.
• Schedule Updating & Reporting
  Maintain project schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordination with Project Teams
  Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and MEP teams to collect progress data and align project activities.
• Look-Ahead Planning
  Prepare short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules to support proactive project execution and resource planning.
• Delay Analysis & Recovery Planning
  Identify schedule delays, analyze root causes, and support the development of recovery and mitigation plans.
• Resource Planning & Tracking
  Monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements against project schedules to optimize resource utilization.
• Risk Assessment Support
  Assist in identifying planning-related risks and opportunities that could impact project timelines and project objectives.
• Management Reporting & Presentations
  Prepare dashboards, KPIs, S-curves, earned value reports, and presentations for project leadership and stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement & Compliance
  Ensure planning processes follow project management standards, client requirements, and organizational best practices.

Reporting Structure

Typically reports to the Project Lead/Project Manager/Planning Manager and supports planning and controls activities across large industrial, infrastructure, semiconductor, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and commercial construction projects.
