Indian Cook

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Indian Chef to prepare high-quality Indian cuisine while maintaining taste, presentation, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare authentic North Indian, South Indian and regional Indian dishes.
• Handle daily food preparation, cooking, plating and garnishing.
• Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation.
• Prepare gravies, curries, breads, rice, starters and other Indian specialties.
• Ensure proper food storage and minimize wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and food safety procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth service during busy hours.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients.
• Assist in menu planning and introducing new dishes when required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Indian Chef in a hotel, restaurant, banquet or similar establishment.
• Good knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices and ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Culinary qualification or Hotel Management background will be an advantage.
