Your Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated and technically experienced Platform Engineer / Integration Engineer to support the continued improvement of a self-service offering in the context of SAP Advanced Event Mesh and SAP Cloud Integration (CPI). The role focuses on strengthening the underlying self-service backbone, which is based on Microsoft Entra ID and Azure technologies, and on enabling secure, scalable, and standardized integration across a heterogeneous enterprise landscape.
The environment includes SAP S/4HANA backends as well as decentral applications developed with different technology stacks such as Java, C#, TypeScript, and JavaScript. The successful candidate will help evolve the platform so that application teams can independently and efficiently connect to the event-driven landscape while following enterprise standards for security, governance, and operational reliability.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Improve and further develop the self-service platform for event broker onboarding and usage
- Support the design and operation of the backbone based on SAP Advanced Event Mesh, SAP Cloud Integration, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure services
- Enable secure access, identity management, and role-based onboarding for decentralized application teams
- Work with multiple technologies, depending on the landscape and use case
- Collaborate with architects, platform teams, and application teams to standardize event-driven integration patterns
- Contribute to automation, platform governance, and reusable onboarding mechanisms
- Help ensure scalability, observability, security, and operational stability of the solution
- Support integration scenarios between SAP systems and non-SAP applications
- Translate technical requirements into practical, maintainable platform capabilities
Your Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with at least one event broker / event streaming platform, such as:
- SAP Advanced Event Mesh
- Solace PubSub+
- Kafka
- Confluent
- Practical experience on SAP Cloud Integration (CPI)
- Good working knowledge of the Azure ecosystem
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID or comparable identity and access management concepts
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed application integration
- Ability to work in a heterogeneous system landscape
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a clear commitment to learning and applying new technologies appropriately
- Good communication skills and the ability to work across technical and organizational boundaries
- Experience in consulting or in one software development ecosystem such as:
- Java
- C#
- Experience with:
- Cloud-native platforms
- Infrastructure as Code
- CI/CD pipelines
- API management
- Monitoring and observability
- Event-driven design patterns
- Familiarity with SAP integration contexts, especially in enterprise environments
- Experience in agile delivery environments and cross-functional teams
