Job Posting Title: Java Developer

What does a successful Java Developer do at fiserv?

What will you do:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable Java applications.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to solution design.
• Hands-on coding, debugging, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.
• Implement best practices for coding standards, performance optimization, and security.
• Work on reducing technical debt and improving code quality using tools like SonarQube and Fortify.
• Support production systems and ensure timely resolution of issues.

What will you need to know:

• Core Technologies:
  • Java 8+
  • UI frameworks: Angular 8+ or similar (ReactJS, etc.)
  • Application frameworks: Spring Boot, Quarkus, ORM frameworks
  • Microservices architecture
• Web Services: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML
• Tools: Putty, SOAPUI, Postman
• DevOps: GitLab or similar CI/CD tools
• Cloud Platforms: experience in any one platform ( AWS, Azure, GCP )
  
  Preferred Skills:
• Code Quality & Security: SonarQube, Fortify, WebInspect
• Design Patterns & Architecture: SOA, Microservices, Event-driven programming, Hexagonal architecture
• Build Tools: Maven, Ant, Gradle
• Project Management & Documentation: JIRA, Confluence
