Responsibilities

Project Execution & Construction
- Lead electrical project execution activities for thermal power plant projects.
- Monitor installation and commissioning of electrical equipment as per engineering specifications and project schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of electrical works related to BTG and BOP packages.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, and construction teams for seamless project execution.
- Review project drawings, technical documents, and method statements before execution.
- Track project progress and proactively address execution bottlenecks.
Electrical Systems & Equipment
- Manage installation and commissioning of:
- Generators and Generator Transformers (GT)
- Unit Auxiliary Transformers (UAT)
- Station Transformers
- Power Transformers
- Switchyard Equipment
- GIS/AIS Substations
- HT/LT Switchgear
- Bus Duct Systems
- MCCs and PCCs
- Electrical Protection Systems
- UPS and Battery Systems
- Electrical Control and Monitoring Systems
- Lighting and Earthing Systems
- Cable Laying and Termination Works
Testing & Commissioning
- Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of electrical systems.
- Ensure completion of SAT/FAT observations and punch point closures.
- Conduct electrical testing, relay testing, protection coordination, and system energization activities.
- Coordinate with OEMs, consultants, and contractors during testing and commissioning stages.
- Ensure compliance with CEA regulations and industry standards.
Contractor & Resource Management
- Monitor contractor productivity and progress.
- Review work measurements, certifications, and billing.
- Ensure availability of manpower, materials, and tools at project sites.
- Conduct regular review meetings with contractors and vendors.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure implementation of EHS standards and safe work practices.
- Enforce compliance with statutory requirements, electrical codes, and organizational standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to approved quality plans.
- Support audits and compliance reviews.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with planning teams for project schedules and milestone tracking.
- Monitor critical path activities and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in review meetings and prepare progress reports for management.
- Support budget monitoring and cost control initiatives.
Qualifications
Diploma/ BE. B.Tech in Electrical Engg.
