Lab Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to perform metal and ore sampling, sample preparation, and chemical analysis. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of laboratory procedures, testing methods, and safety standards to ensure accurate analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare metal and ore samples for laboratory testing.
• Perform physical and chemical analysis of metal and mineral samples.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests using standard operating procedures.
• Record, analyze, and maintain accurate test results and laboratory documentation.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of samples.
• Follow laboratory quality control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist in further analysis and investigation of test results when required.
• Report any abnormalities or deviations to the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.

• Freshers with relevant laboratory training may also apply.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of metal and ore sampling techniques.
• Experience with chemical analysis and laboratory testing procedures.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Understanding of laboratory safety and quality standards.
• Basic computer knowledge for maintaining laboratory records.
• Preferred SkillsExperience in mining, metallurgy, mineral processing, or industrial laboratories.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques such as wet chemistry, titration, XRF, AAS, ICP-OES, or similar laboratory methods is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
