Job Summary

Bastar Dairy Farm Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a result-oriented and field-driven Milk Procurement Manager to strengthen and expand its milk procurement network across rural areas. The role focuses on developing new milk collection centres, building long-term relationships with farmers, ensuring consistent quality milk supply, and supporting sustainable rural livelihoods. The ideal candidate will possess strong field experience, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of dairy procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and operationalize new milk collection centres (MCCs/BMCs) in assigned rural territories.

Conduct village-level meetings and farmer engagement programs to promote milk procurement and awareness.

Provide training to farmers and collection staff on milk analyser usage, hygiene practices, and quality standards.

Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, village leaders, and local communities.

Ensure quality, quantity, and consistency of milk supplied to the processing plant.

Supervise milk procurement logistics, route planning, and transportation efficiency.

Coordinate with the Quality Control and Laboratory teams for milk testing, quality assurance, and rejection management.

Monitor daily procurement data, analyse trends, and prepare MIS reports for management review.

Implement strategies to increase milk volumes, farmer retention, and procurement efficiency.

Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Dairy Science, Animal Husbandry, or related field (preferred).

2+ years of relevant experience in milk procurement, dairy operations, or rural field management.

Prior experience in dairy industry / milk collection operations is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently in rural and field-based environments

Knowledge of milk testing, milk analysers, and quality parameters

Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories

Proficiency in local language(s) and understanding of rural culture
