Job Description
Prepare and implement daily, weekly, monthly, and annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
Conduct routine inspection of machines, electrical panels, motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, cables, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and other critical components.
Ensure timely lubrication, cleaning, adjustment, tightening, alignment, and replacement of worn parts.
Troubleshoot robotic welding equipment and associated electrical/mechanical systems.
Check welding robot operation, sensors, cables, motors, fixtures, pneumatic systems, and safety interlocks.
Coordinate with machine suppliers/OEM service engineers for major robotic faults and technical issues.
Carry out routine maintenance of laser cutting machines.
Check and maintain cutting head, nozzle system, cooling/chiller system, air/gas supply, electrical panels, sensors, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical faults in machines, control panels, motors, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, PLC-related systems, and wiring.
Check incoming power supply, voltage fluctuations, earthing, and electrical safety.
Attend breakdown calls immediately and minimize production downtime.
Record breakdown start time, problem, root cause, corrective action, and restoration time.
Identify critical machine spare parts and maintain minimum stock levels.
Ensure all maintenance activities follow required safety procedures.
Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures before maintenance work where applicable.
Immediately report unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
Maintain good housekeeping and 5S in the maintenance area.
Coordinate closely with Production, Fabrication, PPC, Quality, Stores, and Management.
Maintain machine-wise preventive maintenance schedules and all records.
