Field Recruiter

Role SummaryIndigo Catering and Services is looking for an experienced Recruiter to source, screen, and deploy reliable service staff for our catering, event, and facility service operations. The ideal candidate has a proven record of filling high-volume, short-notice roles and building a dependable pool of workers.

• Key ResponsibilitiesRecruit for roles such as chefs, cooks, kitchen helpers, tandoor and live-counter staff, waiters, stewards, bartenders, housekeeping staff, cleaners, drivers, and event supervisors.
• Source through job portals, social media, WhatsApp groups, local contractors, hospitality institutes, manpower agents, and referrals.
• Screen candidates on skills, experience, hygiene standards, grooming, documents, and availability, and arrange trial or practical checks for cooks and chefs.
• Build and manage a ready pool of permanent, seasonal, and on-call event staff by role and location.
• Plan manpower quickly for weddings, corporate events, bulk orders, and peak seasons.
• Coordinate onboarding, documentation (ID, medical or food handler requirements), uniforms, and mobilisation to venues and sites.
• Work closely with operations and kitchen heads to understand daily and event-wise requirements.
• Track hiring metrics such as time to fill, show-up rate, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, food safety norms, and company policies.
• RequirementsMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience in blue collar, catering, or hospitality recruitment.
• Proven track record of closing positions on time (share numbers such as positions filled per month and turnaround time).
• Strong network of cooks, helpers, service staff, and manpower suppliers.
• Good understanding of kitchen and service roles, skill levels, and wage expectations.
• Ability to arrange staff on short notice for events and peak seasons.
• Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English (local languages are a plus).
• Basic knowledge of labour laws and documentation.
