Job Description - Quality Checking Asst. (QCA)

Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Shift: 8 hours (Rotational – Day & Night).

Job Summary:

The Quality Executive is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the quality of all FMCG manufactured/repackaged in the production premise. The role includes raw material inspection, laboratory testing, process monitoring, documentation, food safety compliance, and coordination with production to ensure that products meet company and regulatory quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. (Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology) or Diploma/B.Tech in Food Technology or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience working in quality checking for FMCG.

Additional Requirements:

-     Knowledge of flour quality parameters – moisture , ash, AIA , Alcohol acidity, Gluten etc.

-     Knowledge of food safety standards – understanding HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSAI regulations and sanitation practices.

-     Good quality document and report maintaining skills.

-     Good Communication skills.

-     Ability to use Microsoft excel and Microsoft word.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform physical and chemical analysis of samples.
• Raw material inspection - inspecting for impurities, moisture, Ash, acidity, damaged grains and foreign matter.
• Approve or reject raw materials based on quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, and company food safety standards.
• Monitor quality during the grinding and milling process.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and initial laboratory tests.
• Record and maintain all laboratory test results accurately.
