Job Description
- Installation: Mount and wire analog and IP cameras, DVRs (Digital Video Recorders), NVRs (Network Video Recorders), and control room equipment.
- Configuration: Set up network configurations, IP addressing, and client software for remote viewing.
- Maintenance: Perform routine preventative checks, firmware updates, and system testing.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair connection issues, hardware failures, or cabling faults.
- Integration: Connect surveillance systems with access control or alarm components. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11]
Key Requirements
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6), networking basics, and security hardware specifications.
- Physical Ability: Comfort climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and lifting equipment.
- Qualifications: High school diploma with a technical certification or IT/Electronics diploma.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on security system installation. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
