Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation: Research, identify, and vet prospective vendors based on quality, reliability, capacity, and pricing.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, volume rebates, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.
- Purchase Order Management: Review, approve, and process purchase orders while maintaining accurate procurement records.
- Inventory & Demand Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse, production, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular supplier evaluations and scorecards to track delivery timeliness and product standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and manage members of the purchasing and procurement department.
- Cost Control & Strategy: Drive annual cost-reduction initiatives and stay updated on market and technology trends in procurement
