Quality Control Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality professional with strong experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Pharma, or related manufacturing industries. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, documentation, audits, and implementation of quality systems across the manufacturing process..

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure quality standards are maintained across raw materials, packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products.
• Handle QA & QC activities for cosmetic and FMCG products.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, specifications, quality procedures, and quality records.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure compliance with approved product specifications.
• Review and approve Raw Material, Packaging Material, In-Process and Finished Product testing/documentation.
• Handle Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packing Records (BPR), COA, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, product defects, and process failures.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
• Manage Change Control and assess the impact of changes in raw materials, processes, equipment, packaging, and formulations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, hygiene, sanitation, and good documentation practices.
• Conduct and support internal, customer, vendor, and regulatory audits.
• Prepare and close audit observations, CAPA reports, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor quality parameters and process controls on the production floor.
• Coordinate with Production, R&D, Warehouse, Purchase, and Regulatory teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Evaluate and monitor vendors/suppliers from a quality perspective.
• Handle product sampling, testing coordination, retention samples, and stability-related documentation.
• Monitor non-conforming products/materials and ensure proper disposition.
• Establish and monitor Quality KPIs and prepare periodic quality reports.
• Train production and quality team members on GMP, SOPs, hygiene, documentation, and quality procedures.
• Ensure proper implementation of 5S, safety, hygiene, and quality practices within the manufacturing facility.

Cosmetic Industry – Key Responsibilities

• Experience in quality control of Skincare, Haircare, Personal Care, Makeup/Color Cosmetics, Creams, Lotions, Shampoos, Face Wash, Serums, etc.
• Knowledge of cosmetic raw materials, packaging materials, product specifications, and finished-product quality parameters.
• Understanding of physical, chemical, microbiological and organoleptic quality parameters applicable to cosmetic products.
• Coordinate with R&D/Formulation team during new product development, trials, scale-up, and product validation.
• Ensure quality compliance during new product launches and process/product changes.
• Monitor appearance, colour, odour, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, texture, filling/packing parameters, and other applicable specifications.

Education

B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or relevant qualification.

Candidates with relevant experience in FMCG / Cosmetics / Personal Care / Pharma Manufacturing will be preferred.
