Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing food items according to standard recipes and portion specifications.
• Perform basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
• Follow instructions given by the CDP, Sous Chef, or Head Chef.
• Ensure proper mise en place is completed before service.
• Assist in preparing food orders during operational hours.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Follow standard recipes and preparation procedures accurately.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Store food ingredients properly and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, kitchen equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
• Follow food safety, personal hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Assist in receiving, arranging, and storing kitchen supplies when required.
• Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
• Inform the senior kitchen staff about low stock, damaged ingredients, or quality issues.
• Support opening and closing kitchen activities.
• Maintain proper cleanliness of refrigerators, preparation areas, and other assigned kitchen sections.
• Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Follow all café SOPs, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Perform any other kitchen-related duties assigned by the management from time to time.
