Job Description
- A Merchandiser's job is to bridge manufacturers and retailers, ensuring products sell well by managing display, stock, and promotion to meet customer demand and boost sales, involving tasks like analyzing trends, setting prices, managing inventory, creating eye-catching displays, and coordinating with marketing/sales teams ketching designs, creating mood boards, and using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to develop prototypes.
- Production Management: Creating technical packs (tech packs) with detailed specifications for production, including fabric, trim, and construction details.
- Material Selection: Sourcing and selecting fabrics, trims, and materials while balancing cost, quality, and sustainability.
- Fitting and Editing: Overseeing the production of prototypes, carrying out fittings on models, and refining designs to improve fit and quality.
