Job Description
Role: Junior Barista
Company: Selkie's Bakery & Café
Location: 1st Floor, The Walk, Hiranandani Estate, Thane
Salary: ₹20,000 / month
Shift Timings: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekly Off: 1 day off (between Monday and Wednesday)
Experience: 1 to 2+ years as a Barista
Job Requirements:
- 1-2+ years hands-on experience with commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders
- Proficient in milk steaming, texture, and basic latte art (hearts, tulips)
- Basic understanding of espresso extraction, recipes, and dial-in
- Positive attitude, good guest communication, and attention to cleanliness
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty coffee to cafe standards
- Handle morning cafe opening duties and prepare coffee station for service
- Clean and maintain espresso machine, grinder, steam wands, and work counters
- Support the team as an all-rounder: take orders, serve guests, help with basic food prep, and keep the cafe clean
