Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Housekeeping Supervisor to manage housekeeping operations in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the housekeeping staff and daily cleaning activities.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, wards, corridors, washrooms, OPD areas, and other hospital premises.
• Coordinate housekeeping activities related to patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Ensure rooms/beds are cleaned and ready on time after patient discharge.
• Allocate duties and shifts to housekeeping staff and monitor attendance.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection-control standards as per hospital requirements.
• Regularly inspect cleaning work and ensure proper quality standards are maintained.
• Handle staff shortages, absenteeism, and arrange replacements when required.
• Train and guide housekeeping staff regarding cleaning procedures, hygiene, and safety practices.
• Maintain housekeeping checklists, cleaning schedules, material records, and other required reports.
• Coordinate with hospital administration, nursing staff, and other departments regarding housekeeping requirements.
• Report complaints, shortages, incidents, and operational issues to the concerned management.
• Ensure proper use and storage of housekeeping chemicals, equipment, machines, and consumables.
• Maintain discipline and professional conduct among housekeeping staff.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, preferably in a hospital.
• Knowledge of hospital housekeeping and hygiene practices.
• Good staff-management and communication skills.
• Ability to handle patient discharge cleaning and urgent housekeeping requirements.
• Ability to work in shifts and manage housekeeping operations effectively.
