Job Description
NICU Nursing In-Charge – Full Time
Freedom Fighter Hakim Ajmal Khan Hospital, Mumbra, a unit of Platinum Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., is hiring an experienced NICU Nursing In-Charge for its Neonatal & Pediatric Services.
Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing
Registration: Valid Maharashtra Nursing Council registration mandatory
Experience: 3–8 Years, with significant NICU / Neonatal Critical Care experience
Location: Kausa, Mumbra, Thane
Employment: Full-Time
Joining: Immediate joining preferred
Salary: Negotiable based on qualification & experience
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the NICU nursing team
* Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate shift-wise nursing manpower
* Supervise nursing care of premature, low-birth-weight and critically ill newborns
* Coordinate with Neonatologists, Pediatricians, NICU RMOs and Medical Administration
* Ensure proper medication administration, monitoring and nursing documentation
* Ensure readiness of NICU beds, equipment and emergency supplies
* Monitor oxygen, CPAP, ventilator and neonatal-care practices
* Ensure strict infection-control and hand-hygiene compliance
* Maintain nursing standards as per NABH and hospital protocols
* Conduct nursing audits, training and competency assessments
* Monitor crash-cart and emergency preparedness
* Ensure proper handover between shifts and immediate escalation of critical cases
* Participate in quality improvement, infection-control and patient-safety activities
* Maintain daily NICU nursing reports and report deficiencies to Medical Administration
