Optometrist – Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye-care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis and management of common eye conditions, prescription of corrective lenses, and patient education. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-focused approach.

• Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
• Evaluate visual acuity, refraction, binocular vision, and ocular health.
• Diagnose and manage common eye conditions and visual disorders.
• Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses as clinically appropriate.
• Perform relevant diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Identify signs of ocular disease and refer patients to an ophthalmologist or other specialist when required.
• Provide pre- and post-consultation counselling and educate patients about eye health.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Advise patients on appropriate eyewear, contact-lens care, and visual hygiene.
• Monitor patients' progress and recommend follow-up examinations when necessary.
• Maintain professional standards, infection-control procedures, and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay updated on developments in optometry, diagnostic techniques, and eye-care practices.
• QualificationsBachelor's degree in Optometry (B.Optom) or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid professional registration/licensure as required by the applicable jurisdiction.
• Relevant clinical experience is preferred; fresh graduates may also be considered depending on the role.
• Good knowledge of optometric examination procedures, refraction, and ocular health assessment.
