Design Manager - Mechanical

Knowledge: Should have Good Design Skills in Auto CAD, Solid Edge etc., Also required sufficient knowledge and able to Handle projects in Steel Structures, Sheet Metal Works, Pipings, Mechanical Assembly Components for Special Purpose Machines, Material Handling Equipments, Conveyors etc.,

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Directing and managing the daily workflows of mechanical engineers, drafters, and designers. This includes delegating tasks, conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and fostering a culture of innovation.

Project Management & Execution: Planning project timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring design milestones are met without sacrificing quality. 

Design Oversight & Compliance: Reviewing 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and structural calculations to ensure they align with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Collaborating closely with operations and manufacturing teams to ensure that mechanical components and systems are optimized for efficient production, assembly, and maintenance.

Client & Vendor Coordination: Interacting with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to secure design approvals, finalize material specifications, and negotiate part selections.
