JOB SUMMARY

Location:Thrissur and Kochi.

Job Purpose

The Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles according to brand standards and quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will ensure superior mechanical care, accurate troubleshooting, and timely completion of job cards to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Maintenance & Repair:

• Perform routine periodic servicing, preventive maintenance, and oil/filter changes on Jawa/Yezdi motorcycles.
• Execute engine overhauls, clutch work, brake servicing, suspension repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately using standard workshop tools and diagnostic software.
• Inspection & Quality Control:

• Inspect bikes based on job card requirements and report any additional repairs or part replacements needed to the Service Advisor/Supervisor.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) for new vehicles before customer handover.
• Perform post-repair test rides to ensure all reported issues are fully resolved and quality control standards are met.
• Workshop Operations & Safety:

• Ensure correct usage and maintenance of special tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work bays in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Follow proper handling and disposal procedures for used oils, batteries, and replaced parts.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent vocational training.

Experience:

1 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a two-wheeler technician/mechanic (experience with premium two-wheeler brands or modern liquid-cooled engines preferred).

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of modern 4-stroke engine architecture, FI (Fuel Injection) systems, and ABS/braking systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical multimeter, diagnostic scanners, and special service tools (SST).
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Licensing: Valid Two-Wheeler Driving License is mandatory.
