Job Description

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and other cafeteria food as per the daily menu.
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes and cooking procedures.
  • Ensure food is prepared on time and maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation.
  • Check the freshness and quality of vegetables, meat, dairy products and other ingredients before use.
  • Carry out cutting, cleaning, marinating, cooking and other food-preparation activities.
  • Maintain proper food temperature and safe food-handling practices.
  • Follow FIFO principles for food storage and ensure proper labelling and storage of ingredients.
  • Monitor daily kitchen stock and inform the supervisor about shortages or requirements.
  • Minimize food wastage and use ingredients economically.
  • Maintain cleanliness of cooking areas, utensils, equipment, refrigerators and storage areas.
  • Follow company hygiene, grooming, sanitation and food-safety standards.
  • Ensure proper segregation and disposal of kitchen waste.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food materials when required.
  • Support other kitchen team members during peak hours.
  • Follow instructions given by the Kitchen Supervisor / Chef / Management.
  • Ensure proper closing and cleaning of the kitchen at the end of the shift.
  • Perform any other duties related to cafeteria operations as assigned by management.
