Job Title: Digital Assistant (Bus Conductor)

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing safe, efficient, and courteous passenger services on buses while using digital ticketing and electronic systems for fare collection, ticket issuance, passenger information, and daily reporting.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Issue tickets to passengers using Electronic Ticketing Machines (ETMs)/digital ticketing systems.
• Collect fares through cash, digital payments, smart cards, or other approved payment methods.
• Assist passengers with route, fare, stop, and schedule-related information.
• Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, fare collection, and passenger transactions.
• Handle digital devices and ensure proper functioning of ticketing equipment during duty.
• Verify tickets and assist in preventing unauthorized travel.
• Maintain discipline and provide polite and professional service to passengers.
• Coordinate with the bus driver and control room regarding routes, delays, breakdowns, and other operational issues.
• Submit daily collection and transaction reports as required.
• Safeguard collected cash, tickets, electronic devices, and other official materials.
• Follow all transport department/company rules, safety procedures, and passenger service standards.
• Assist elderly passengers, women, children, and persons with disabilities when required.
• Report any technical issues with digital ticketing equipment or payment systems to the concerned authority.
• Required Skills:
• Basic knowledge of smartphone, computer, and digital payment systems.
• Ability to operate electronic ticketing machines and other digital devices.
• Good communication and passenger-handling skills.
• Basic numerical and record-keeping ability.
• Honesty, punctuality, patience, and responsibility.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
