Job Description
Develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and detailed Level 3 / Level 4 execution schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
Establish critical path logic linking engineering deliverables (P&IDs, Isometrics, structural GAs, connection drawings), material deliveries (MTO/BOM), shop fabrication, site delivery, and site erection
Estimate activity durations, assign labor/equipment resources (cranes, welders, riggers, fitters), and establish resource-loaded histograms
Track spool fabrication in shops (cutting, fit-up, welding, NDT, blasting/painting) and field erection (line walkdowns, joint alignment, tie-ins, hydrotesting/pneumatic testing)
Monitor progress using physical metrics: Inch-Meters (Dia-Meter), Inch-Dia (Dia-Inch) for welding/joint completion, and isometric release count
Maintain and update the Piping Progress Measurement System (PMS) and test pack release schedule
Develop and maintain planned vs. actual progress S-curves for overall project, shop fabrication, and site installation
Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Reports (DPR, WPR, MPR) highlighting planned vs. actual progress, key milestones, and Look-Ahead schedules (3-week / 6-week lookaheads)
Calculate Planned Value (PV), Earned Value (EV), Actual Cost (AC), and performance indices (Schedule Performance Index - SPI, Cost Performance Index - CPI)
