Job Description – CCTV Technician
Company: JENX Digitech Pvt. Ltd.
Role Overview
Responsible for installing, configuring, testing and maintaining CCTV surveillance systems at manufacturing plants and project sites. The role requires practical troubleshooting skills, safe working practices and readiness for PAN India travel.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Install and commission IP and analogue cameras, NVRs, DVRs, PoE switches and related accessories.
- Carry out Cat6 and fibre cable laying, termination, labelling and testing, including conduit and cable tray installation.
- Position cameras and adjust viewing angles, focus and image quality as per approved layouts.
- Configure IP addresses, recording schedules, storage settings, motion detection and authorised remote access.
- Troubleshoot camera connectivity, recording failures, power issues and video quality problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including camera cleaning, connection checks and recording verification.
- Support CCTV integration with Video Management Systems (VMS) under the guidance of the project engineer.
- Maintain installation records, camera lists, IP address details, service reports and material consumption records.
- Coordinate with project engineers, customers and site teams to complete work within agreed timelines.
- Follow site safety requirements, PPE rules and permit procedures, including safe work at height.
- Provide basic system demonstrations and support during customer handover.
- Attend service calls and travel to project sites across India as required.
