Job Description
Bhim Industries Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Design & Costing Engineer with good AutoCAD skills and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes. The candidate will handle engineering drawings, component costing, and estimation for sheet metal and machined components.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Read and understand customer drawings.
- Calculate raw material requirements, component weight, and material wastage.
- Prepare costing sheets for sheet metal and machined components.
- Estimate costs for laser cutting, bending, stamping, welding, CNC turning, VMC machining, drilling, and tapping.
- Calculate tooling, surface treatment, and subcontracting costs.
- Prepare cost estimates for customer enquiries and RFQs.
- Coordinate with production for cycle-time estimation and manufacturing feasibility.
- Maintain costing data and Excel records.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience in manufacturing costing and estimation.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and machining processes.
- Good Excel skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Practical problem-solving and analytical skills.
