Traffic Manager

Abhay Road Carrier is looking for an experienced and proactive Traffic Executive responsible for procuring commercial vehicles from the open transport market, coordinating with brokers and transporters across various routes, and ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of customer consignments.

The candidate must have strong market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to arrange vehicles through both telephonic coordination and physical market visits, especially during urgent requirements.

• Key ResponsibilitiesProcure commercial vehicles from the open market for Part Truck Load (PTL) and Full Truck Load (FTL) consignments.
• Coordinate with transport brokers, fleet owners, vehicle operators, and transport agencies across different routes throughout India.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates while maintaining service quality and timely vehicle availability.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of reliable brokers and transporters across major transport routes.
• Conduct physical market visits to truck stands, transport hubs, and broker offices whenever vehicles cannot be arranged through calls.
• Handle urgent and emergency vehicle requirements to prevent delays in customer material dispatch.
• Ensure timely vehicle placement, loading, dispatch, and delivery of consignments.
• Regularly follow up with drivers and transporters regarding vehicle movement and delivery status.
• Resolve operational challenges such as vehicle shortages, last-minute cancellations, transit delays, and breakdowns.
• Maintain daily records of vehicle procurement, freight rates, dispatches, and transporter details.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in transport traffic operations, vehicle procurement, or transport brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of the commercial vehicle market and major transportation routes.
• Existing network of transport brokers, truck owners, and fleet operators preferred.
• Good communication and freight negotiation skills.
• Willingness to visit local transport markets and arrange vehicles physically whenever required.
• Ability to handle multiple vehicle requirements and work under pressure.

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operations.
