Billing Executive

Kalawati Steels has sold steel and building material in Varanasi for over 35 years. This job is at our Bachhaon branch near Varanasi. Interview at Head Office, Varanasi. Full time, 6 days a week.

You are the counter. Every rupee enters through a bill you make. Our stock moves in sut, pieces and kilograms depending on the brand, and the customer in front of you is in a hurry. Speed with zero errors is the job. You will also greet customers, show them our products and help build relationships with local masons and contractors.

What you will do

1. GST invoices in the billing software with correct brand, grade, size, unit, quantity, rate and tax.
2. Convert correctly between sut, pieces and kg on every bill and quotation.
3. Quotations for walk-in customers and contractors from the approved rate list.
4. E-way bills and delivery challans handed to the driver before the vehicle moves.
5. Match what is billed to what is loaded and to the weighbridge slip.
6. Collect cash, UPI and cheques and post the receipt against the correct bill at once.
7. Greet customers politely, show products (TMT, pipes, sheets, cement, hardware) and make sure they come back.
8. Hand over the bill register, cash and documents at closing. Handle returns through credit notes.

Must have

1. 12th pass minimum, graduate preferred. 1+ year billing in steel, cement, hardware, building material or distribution.
2. Hands-on billing software. Has generated e-way bills on the GST portal.
3. Fast mental arithmetic and a polite, confident manner with customers.
4. Must reach Bachhaon daily.
