Role Description The General Manager for Hotel Tridev Varuna is responsible for overseeing all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services. This full-time, on-site role based in Uttar Pradesh, India involves managing daily staffing, supervising service quality, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining brand standards. The General Manager will monitor budgets and financial performance, manage vendor relationships, and implement cost-effective strategies to improve profitability. The role includes leading and developing the hotel team, handling escalated guest issues, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and coordinating with ownership on strategic initiatives and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management abilities, including experience supervising multi-department hospitality teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Hotel operations expertise covering front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, with a focus on service standards and operational efficiency.
• Financial and analytical skills, such as budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and cost control, with the ability to interpret performance reports and take corrective action.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, staff, vendors, and ownership, and to handle conflict resolution calmly and professionally.
• Proven track record in guest experience management, including handling complaints, improving service processes, and maintaining high satisfaction and review scores.
• Knowledge of hotel management systems, reservation platforms, and basic IT tools, along with comfort using data to inform operational decisions.
• Understanding of health, safety, and regulatory requirements relevant to hotel operations, and ability to implement and monitor compliance procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Prior experience in a senior hotel management role (such as General Manager, Resident Manager, or Operations Manager) in a comparable property or chain.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations, and maintain a hands-on presence on site.
