Senior Accountant

Kartik Steels and Kalawati Steels is a 35+ year old steel and building materials group in Varanasi, with TMT distribution across 28 districts of UP, retail showrooms and a hotel. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to own the books of multiple group entities.

Key responsibilities:

- Monthly GST compliance for multiple GSTINs: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B reconciliation.

- TDS deduction, payment, quarterly returns and Form 16/16A.

- Complete books in Tally Prime: purchase, sales, journal, debit and credit notes.

- Bank reconciliation and party ledger reconciliation.

- Inventory accounting and inter-branch stock transfers.

- Monthly MIS, P&L and support for year end finalisation and balance sheet.

- Coordinate with CA and auditors, and handle GST and income tax notices.

- Guide and review the work of junior accountants.

Requirements:

- B.Com or M.Com. CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus.

- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience, filing GST and TDS returns yourself.

- Strong in Tally Prime and Excel.

- Experience in trading, steel, building materials or hotel accounts preferred.

- Must be based in Varanasi.
