Store Supervisor

The Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the store, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining smooth logistics. This role is crucial for ensuring that all materials and supplies are handled, stored, and distributed effectively to support the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Inventory Management:

o Supervise the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods/materials.

o Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory records.

o Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.

2. Team Supervision:

o Lead and supervise store staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.

o Assign tasks to storekeepers and monitor their performance.

o Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance efficiency and productivity.

3. Documentation & Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of all materials received, issued, and stored.

o Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to management.

o Ensure that all records comply with company policies and audit requirements.

4. Logistics Coordination:

o Oversee loading and unloading of goods and ensure proper handling.

o Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and transport teams for timely delivery of materials.

o Inspect materials on arrival for quality and quantity compliance with purchase orders.

5. Storage Optimization:

o Ensure proper labeling and categorization of items for easy identification.

o Implement and maintain proper storage techniques to prevent damage or deterioration.

o Organize the store layout to maximize efficiency and accessibility.

6. Health & Safety Compliance:

o Ensure that the store complies with all safety regulations and standards.

o Regularly inspect the store for hazards and implement corrective measures.

o Educate store staff on safe handling procedures and emergency protocols.

7. Problem-Solving:

o Address and resolve any discrepancies in inventory or deliveries.

o Troubleshoot issues related to logistics, damaged goods, or material shortages.
