Job Description

  • Café Staff Roles & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service: Welcome customers, take orders, answer questions, and provide friendly service.
  • Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.
  • Food & Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve coffee, tea, snacks, desserts, and other menu items according to café standards.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash, card payments, billing, and receipts accurately.
  • Table Service: Serve customers, clear tables, and maintain a clean and comfortable dining area.
  • Cleaning & Hygiene: Keep counters, tables, equipment, kitchen areas, and customer areas clean and hygienic.
  • Stock Management: Check inventory, store supplies properly, and inform the supervisor when stock is low.
  • Equipment Care: Use coffee machines, grinders, ovens, and other café equipment safely and correctly.
  • Teamwork: Coordinate with kitchen staff, baristas, servers, and managers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Customer Complaints: Listen politely to customer concerns and resolve them or report them to the supervisor.
  • Opening & Closing Duties: Help set up the café before opening and clean, organize, and secure the café after closing.
  • Following Safety Rules: Follow food safety, hygiene, workplace safety, and company policies.
