Job Description
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for trainees on consumer durable appliances.
- Demonstrate the installation, operation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of various appliances.
- Explain the working principles, components, electrical/electronic systems, and common faults associated with consumer durables.
- Train students to correctly use basic and advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Demonstrate proper installation and testing procedures to ensure appliances function safely and efficiently.
- Train students to identify, diagnose, and rectify technical faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure that trainees follow prescribed safety procedures, installation guidelines, productivity standards, and quality standards.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and supervise practical sessions.
- Teach trainees how to identify defective components and determine appropriate repair or replacement requirements.
- Train students to systematically record technical issues, diagnosis, repair actions, and service outcomes.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of technical issues to supervisors or relevant personnel.
- Assess trainees' technical knowledge, practical skills, and competency through regular evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback and additional support to trainees requiring improvement.
- Maintain training records, attendance, assessment results, practical activity records, and other required documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, new consumer durable products, diagnostic techniques, and industry practices.
- Ensure that all training activities are aligned with relevant industry requirements and occupational standards.
